ENRTY & SHOW RULES
1. All entries close
July 1, 2010 NO LATE ENTRIES - Please !!
2. The Dairy show is sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association,
and ADGA RULES SHALL GOVERN.
4. The open boer show is a non-sanctioned show please
read the following rules closely.
5. In case of
discrepancy or for rules not adequately covered, the show committees decision and/or
judges decision is final.
6. Class Entry Fees - (Buck & Does - $3.00), (Wethers - $2.00),
per individual class.,7. Every exhibitor
and accompanying person must purchase a gate pass. Enter Fairgrounds thru the Key Street
Gate ONLY.
8. All exhibits must
be in place by 10:00am. Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
9. The Show Date of July 28, 2010, will serve as the
Base Date for Age of All Goats being showed.
10. No more than (3)
entries per exhibitor in any single class.
11. The breeding
classes will use the birth dates as listed on the registration certificate to determine
the class divisions. The show date will be the base date for computing all ages.
12. Original registration certificates are required,
though a copy of a Registration Application, stamped with the date received by one of the
listed associations, can be accepted for kids less than 3 months of age. Animals must be
registered in the name of the exhibitor and must have been owned by the exhibitor on or
before date determined by said show.
13. Health
Certificate: Prior to unloading, all animals
and with their health papers, will be visually inspected by the show committee. Any animals showing signs of infectious disease or
ill health will be BARRED from unloading. Lucas
County fair reserves the right to excuse any animal of questionable health without refund
of entrance fees.
Out Of State Exhibitors must present
current health certificate when animals are brought to the fairgrounds. Certificate is valid only if dated within 30 days,
and signed by a veterinarian before July 28, 2010, unless goats are coming directly from an accredited and certified herd
with certification dated within the last 12 months.
All Out Of
State animals must be listed on an official health certificate and comply with
the Current Health Regulations for the State of Ohio.

14. All goats must comply with Ohio Scrapie
rules. Any Questions: contact the Ohio State Veterinarian at

16. Junior
Fair Exhibitors - Keeping Goats in the Junior Fair Livestock Barn / Tent, Please Make
Note on Entry Form.
17. Exhibitors are responsible for care and clean up
of their animals.
18. NO Clipping / Shaving Allowed after 10:00am.

21. Market Wether Weigh-in will begin
promptly at 10:00 am., once everyone is checked in. After
all Market Wethers are weighed the scales will close.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
22. The Lucas County Fair, Goat Department or
Lucas County Fair Grounds will not be held responsible for loss, damages, accidents or
injury of persons and/or to animals.
