Erie Shores Poultry

We (actually my son) currently have 3 different breeds of poultry along with the general barn yard mix, they are Black Ameraucana, Colombian Wyandottes Bantams and Slate Muscovys.   Look for some Royal Palm Turkeys to be added in 2010.

Ameraucana

The Ameraucana are laying very well and some chicks will be available occaionally.   These are NOT easter egg chickens but pure Ameraucana with the rumps and beards.  They lay the blue eggs, not the blue-green varieties that you'd get from commercial hatcheries, called EasterEggers.   They come from a show flock.     Please email me for eggs or chicks that are available.

Columbian Wyandotte

Our Bandam breed is the Columbian Wyandotte they are often broody in the summer so production is varied.  They seem to be quite happy laying a clutch and raising them a couple of times a year.  (the  rooster pictured below is not our rooster, but just pictured for reference)

Muscovy

The Muscovys are a nice beeding pair, and the hen is quite broody, but once she gets a brood going in the spring, she stops laying in the summer, so eggs and ducklings are hard to come by.  They were 3rd place waterfowl at the Lucas Co. Fair last year.
